It recognises an individual or organisation whose sustained leadership, vision, innovation, scholarship, institution-building, philanthropy, or public service has made an exceptional and enduring contribution to strengthening India’s education ecosystem.
Conferred solely at the discretion of the Jury, this award celebrates a legacy of impact rather than a single programme or initiative.
Eligibility Criteria
Organisations applying for the award must meet the following eligibility requirements.
Eligible Entities
Individuals (educators, teachers, researchers, policymakers, academic leaders, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, education practitioners, or public servants) and organisations (non-profit organisations, academic institutions, foundations, research organisations, or public institutions) with a significant and sustained contribution to education in India.
Verifiability
The nominee's body of work should be supported by publicly available records, publications, independent evaluations, awards, citations, institutional achievements, or other credible evidence.
Tenure
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable, sustained contribution to the education sector in India.
No Financial Threshold
The award is independent of organisational size, programme budget, or financial resources. The emphasis is on the significance, integrity, and long-term influence of the contribution.

Jury Authority
The Independent Jury reserves the right to identify, shortlist, and recommend recipients. The Jury may also decide not to confer the award in a particular year if no nomination meets the expected standard of excellence.
Nomination Route
No self-nominations. Nominations are accepted only from jury members, the organising committee, or invited sector leaders.
Evaluation Criteria
Every nomination is independently reviewed by the jury using the weighted evaluation framework below.
Sustained Impact
The jury will evaluate the initiative's long-term contribution to improving educational outcomes and its lasting influence on learners, institutions, and the broader education ecosystem.
Leadership & Influence
Assessment will focus on the nominee's vision, leadership, and ability to shape education policy, institutional practices, or sector-wide transformation through sustained efforts.
Innovation
Recognition will be given to pioneering ideas, research, and practices that advance the education ecosystem and inspire meaningful improvements across the sector.
Integrity
The nominee should demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, transparency, accountability, and professional conduct while contributing to educational excellence.
Recognition
The jury will consider national recognition, peer acknowledgement, and the nominee's enduring legacy in strengthening and advancing the education sector.
